Society of Evangelical Arminians

Society of Evangelical Arminians LogoI'd like to announce the new website for the Society of Evangelical Arminians, at http://evangelicalarminians.org/. I am glad to have been invited to be one of the founding members and contributors to the site. The Society exists to contend for the truth of the Arminian perspective on soteriology: as Roger Olson simply put it, "God loves every one of his human creatures and Christ died for all of us so that we all have hope of eternal salvation by his grace alone."

First post starts Wednesday, April 8. Please check it out.

Keith,

This is really good news. I think this society may prove to be the best new thing going in the theological sector of the web, especially pertaining to balancing out what two years ago seemed to be Calvinist monopoly.

I have yet to embrace the Arminian identity. But only denial would fit me if I did not say I possess a measure of Arminian tendencies, especially with those who've flown the flag of "Reformed Arminians".

Never once have I wavered on what Baptists dub "eternal security"--nor shall I, I'm certain--but the early Arminians along with Professor Olson helped me understand the mistake some make by wedding the absence of such intrinsic to Arminianism.

I wish the best of God's grace and intend to link you on my site.

With that, I am...

Hi, Peter,

Thanks. You'll be glad to know that one of the contributors goes by the handle of "arminianbaptist." I just approved one of his submissions, a good piece of work. We're all in this together, you know. :-)

What an awesome, overdue idea. May it be blessed. Consider me a charter subscriber.
